Poetry: COLD BANANAS By Maddie Silva

Cold bananas on raisin bran Ketchup on steak Long swims in the pool Staying up late Grandma’s canopy bed The smell of warm leather A cat named Sam Perfect summer weather Warn VHS in the den S’mores by the fire The toll of the clock Adolescent desires The Summit house sold Sam is no more I suppose these are memories My childhood, now folklore
