Photography: These Are My Friends by DJ Suto

Photographing my friends is endlessly interesting. I typically give no guidance nor direction; I only want to see whatever they want to show me. From this, various degrees of intimacy, vulnerability and comfort arise. I’ve always been fascinated with the connections between male friends. Between what’s a considered a ‘bromance’, and what’s considered ‘gay’. The closer I get to my male friends, the more we peel back layers of masculinity to see what’s underneath. These photos detail some of my closest relationships. Meet my friends.
