Oberbaum Bridge, connecting two boroughs once divided by the Berlin Wall

step outside your front door

stomping through the asphalt

you are a living livewire

the current that runs through these concrete canyons


even though currently the crushing weight

caves in like an open mouth to consume you

shed your shoes you'll be faster

bleed faster


yesterday hanging over our heads

like a reminder

of what we left behind

and what can still catch up to us.
